Official site for the Bristol Downs Association Football League; an amateur, grassroots league in Bristol.
The Downs League is the oldest 11-a-side football league in Bristol (founded in 1905) and the only league in the world like it.
Four divisions, all played in the same place each Saturday afternoon at 2pm (on Clifton Down and Durdham Down, a.k.a. The Downs).
There are therefore no away games in the league or league cups, as all fixtures are played on The Downs.
Affiliated to the Gloucestershire FA, but not connected to the league pyramid; a standalone, competitive yet friendly football league all played on the open space at the top of Whiteladies Road.
The 2024/25 season has now started!
